This is where all manufacturers, raw material producers and the consumer can learn about standards of excellence regarding ORAC claims for their products. Equally important you can learn what are not acceptable practices when making ORAC claims.

With that said, it is important to point out that ORACWATCH.org is focused on what we call "THE GOLD STANDARD". This standard is the highest standard of excellence for ORAC claims. Any lessor standard simply means potential quality reduction, unverified claims, lack of continuity and a Pandora box of unknown factors.

The only way for a manufacturer to be absolutely sure that their ORAC claims are protected from potential liability against inadvertent misrepresentations, consumer complaints, questionable claims, and competitor comparisons is to follow "THE GOLD STANDARD".

Like wise, consumers, doctors, and the OTC market demand that products claiming ORAC values have a valid certification to guarantee that their clients are getting exactly what they are paying for. Not just for the sake of the dollars spent, but because it impacts the true potential health benefits. It is in every ones best interest to take this voluntary step to preserve consumer confidence and industry integrity.
